In March, we had the opportunity to take part in the “BioBall on Site” event, which included a visit to a carbonization plant in Darmstadt. During the process, sieve overflows from the local composting facility are gradually refined, dehumidified, intensely heated, and ultimately converted into synthesis gas and biochar. That biochar can be used in a variety of ways – for example, as an additive in cement production. It was a fantastic exchange of knowledge and experience, and a valuable opportunity to network – we truly appreciated the invitation!
